We were honored to have Alan Campbell exhibit at our gallery. Here are a few photos from his closing reception May 15th.
Campbell is an expedition artist from Athens and Savannah, Georgia, who has built a unique career working with large scientific research programs in some of the most remote locations on the planet. He has had over 50 one-man exhibitions in museums and galleries all over the world. Campbell's newest series of paintings portray the special places and indigenous peoples of the Low Country, with a emphasis on the vanishing occupations of the working waterfront and distinct culture of the Gullah-Geechee communities. He is represented by Morris & Whiteside Galleries of Hilton Head Island.
